Overview
Tangerine, Lemon-Lime, Amber, and Rust. Brass, Gold, and Sienna. Red delicious, canary-yellow, and deep blue sea.
This autumn, the elm and maple, the oak and birch will be ablaze with color, and
we’re sailing to the best place on Earth for it—the Canadian Maritime Provinces and
New England.
Join us this October as we voyage south from Newfoundland, riding the crest of
the crisp temperatures and peak leaf-peeping down to the old ports of Maine and
Massachusetts. It promises to be a journey rich in both culture and color, as we
explore historic Colonial towns of the Northeast, and ramble through the forests
aflame—when we’re not hearing the cry of seabirds and the slap of sailboats upon
harbor walls.

Cast off from Newfoundland’s St. John’s and then spend a day in the 18th-century
Fortress of Louisbourg. Traveling through the “Highlands of North America,” we’ll
visit the home of Alexander Graham Bell, then drift through pastoral Prince Edward
Island to the charming Anne of Green Gables House.
After touring Halifax, Nova Scotia, where 18th-century sailing ships and vibrant
contemporary culture mingle, we’ll scan the rocky coast off Bar Harbor, Maine,
and delve into the birch-filled wilderness of Acadia National Park. We’ll follow
this with a wander through the exciting art scene of Portland, which thrives upon
its cobblestoned streets. We conclude in Gloucester, the first settlement of the
Massachusetts Bay Colony, its proud lighthouse a testament to its seafaring history.
In addition, we’ll have invigorating speakers joining us throughout. And for a coastal
voyage to Canadian seaside villages and small New England harbors, there is no better
ship than the 100-guest, all-suite Clelia II.
Please join us for something wonderful this October.
